7 Days and Counting

It is hard to believe that in 7 days our little man will be here.

I had my 38 week appt today. Everything is still looking good, except the whole head up thing. I go in on Monday at 4 EST for my pre op appt and go to the hospital at 5 for my pre op blood work. That is unless something happens before then. I have been having some contractions the last few days, but nothing consistant and they are at least 15-20 minutes apart. My Dr did tell me today that if they get as close as 5-7 minutes apart or if my water breaks before monday that I am to get myself to the hospital asap since he is still breech.

We ended up spending Thanksgiving at my Brother in law and Sister in laws. I made my turkey, mashed potatoes, corn and a cherry pie. Kevin had smoked a ham. We all had a really good time. I even got to snuggle our new nephew, Ian. He is so precious. Hugs and kisses from our niece Madolyn made it worth it too. Justin had just stayed up when he got home from work that morning, so by the time we got home at about 7 he was ready for bed.

We spent about 6 hours on Black Friday running around and shopping. We finished getting the last of the things that we needed for Ryan's debut. I was a little tired when we got home, but we still managed to get the christmas tree up. Then Saturday, we decided to go do a bit more shopping. We ended up getting a birthday/christmas/anniversary (2008) present for us. We had been contemplating it for a few years now and finally decided that since we were going to be spending a lot more time at home (at least until spring when there are not so many sick people) that we would go ahead and get a new tv. They were on sale at Wal-Mart. I am so glad we got it. It will definitely make sitting at home more enjoyable. Anyway - after 9 hours of shopping around that day, I was done. We spent that next sunday rearranging furniture and cleaning house.

This week has flown by. Hopefully the next 7 will go by quickly as well. I can't wait to have our baby boy in my arms finally!!!! My camera is not wanting to upload today, so I will try to get some pics up in a day or so!!!

So exciting!!! Oh, and I forgot to tell you the BEST advice I got from a nurse.... start practicing standing up using your thigh muscles, not your abdomen. Genius! It made getting off the couch soooo much easier (of course, I still needed assistance at first).
